David Gilmour Inspired Arpeggio Lick

David Gilmour Inspired Arpeggio Lick – Mixolydian Scale

This is an arpeggio based lick using the mixolydian scale. It starts off with a basic, David Gilmour style arpeggio. It then adds some mixolydian flavor, by including the natural C note in some cool pull off runs.

Licks like this will get you out of the basic scale boxes, and will help you to play more melodically. Aside from that, even if you don’t play arpeggio licks often, they will help you visualize the fretboard better, and make it easier for you to target notes when you are improvising.
