Mixolydian and Chromatics – Lick of the Day
This lesson covers a guitar lick that is based on the A mixolydian scale. The lick also includes some interesting chromatic ideas.
I think the basic idea here goes a long way. You can take standard lick in any scale, and throw some chromatic notes in to make it more interesting.
So, the lick is a good lick, but definitely try to take the idea away from this guitar lick, and experiment with chromatic notes in the licks that you already know. Chromatics open up a ton of possibilities!
