Introducing the Phrygian Dominant scale. This is a pretty unique scale that sounds great for shredding.
The first thing I do here is break down the scale. I show you the notes in it, and how it relates to the minor scale (which you probably already know). I also compare the sound of this to the natural minor scale so that you can hear the differences.
After I show the scale, I get into the LICKS. I show three different licks using this scale to get you started on your shredding journey with this awesome scale. As always, these licks are played fast, slow, and include tabs! Rock on!
